CHARMES-CHAMBERTIN GRAND CRU


LOCATION
CHARMES-CHAMBERTIN Grand Cru is one of the Grand Cru located in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin. 
 
SURFACE
The Domaine GUYON wine area for CHARMES CHAMBERTIN covers 8.65 ares (0.21 acre).

SOIL AND GRAPE VARIETY
Clay and limestone
100% Pinot Noir

HARVEST AND VINIFICATION
Hand-harvested, the grapes are then carried in small boxes and sorted out upon arrival at the winery.
Long fermentation during 15 days in wooden open vats, with punching down of the cap and temperature control.

AGEING
Ageing in oak barrels (100% new oak) and estate bottling after 18 months.

CHARACTER
Very nice ruby robe with morello cherry aroma.  This wine is very rich with soft tannins and a lot of finesse.
It can be kept for 15 years.

SERVICE
To be served at 16-17°C with most of game and meat in sauce.
